The laughter flows in this historical – make that hysterical – comedy set in 1861 and inspired by an event in the life of colorful and controversial Benjamin Butler, a major general in the Union Army. His principles are tested when three escaped slaves come to him at Fort Monroe, VA, seeking sanctuary.
